Ric and I met in Illinois during the year 1969. I was playing Chicago Blues at the time and Ric was a folk musician. The impact that we had on each others playing style was profound. In those days the two of us were always found hanging out together. This meeting on Maui will be the first time we have seen each other in 40 years.
