Educationist Fredrick Mahisu is among 25 candidates who will be contesting the Ambunti Drekikir Open seat currently held by sitting MP, Ezekiel Anisi. Mahisu said he is determined to deliver basic government services like education, health, roads and bridges which are non-existent in the district. The former Principal of Drekikir High School will be running as an independent candidate.
