Police Search For A Car Thief Near The Sunport

Police said a suspected car thief stole a car on 4th Street and Alameda in Albuquerque. Police said what was suppose to be a routine traffic stop turned into a manhunt after the suspect jumped out of the car on I-25 southbound at the Sunport exit. Before 7 a.m. the search was called off and now investigators will look for more evidence in the stolen car. During the search police found a shoe left behind from the suspect as well as a screwdriver and a pair of gloves.
