Shepherd’s Market, an outreach ministry of St. John’s United Methodist Church, is a client-choice food pantry currently serving 420 families monthly in the South Baton Rouge neighborhoods surrounding the church. The ministry has expanded into offering ESL classes, assistance with Medicaid applications, and offering weekly communion services that serve these neighbors who have become family.
