Since the age of fourteen, Sujay has been working on graduate-level projects at the University of Calgary. His research has given him the opportunity to apply his own solutions to some of society's most pressing problems. One such example is glioblastoma, the most common cancer of the brain in adults. Current therapeutic paradigms consist of surgery and chemotherapy. Yet, long-term survival rates remain very low (less than 15%) because current therapy fails to eradicate certain cell populations. To address such pressing problems, it is important to apply solutions that challenge the existing paradigms. Teenage optimism and a desire to solve pertinent issues are all that is necessary to change our world; a PhD is not required!

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
