The final game of 1991 Island Games was the toughest for the Faroese favourites, not less because of very rough play by their opponents from the Welsh island of Ynys Môn (Anglesey). A couple of extra time goals were needed to secure the victory.

This was the last ever performance by Faroese football team on Island Games, although Faroese athletes continue to compete there in other sports.
