No trip to Brussels is complete without a visit to the Atomium - this iconic structure was built for the 1958 Expo and was meant to be just a temporary attraction. But it proved to be so popular that no one had the heart to tear it down and it is still attracting visitors today. For something built in 1958, it still looks incredibly futuristic and admittedly, I wasn't that impressed by the exhibitions in the spheres, but certainly, it looks very impressive from the outside and the views from the top were amazing. Definitely worth 12 euros.
