Contrary to common belief, Canada actually can grow a select variety of Palm Trees. Windmill palms (trachycarpus fortunei) are found in many coastal areas of British Columbia, mostly in the Vancouver and Victoria areas. They can sustain brief temperatures of up to -10C and are an odd sight when they have snow on them! All the palm trees in this video are found in the city of Vancouver here in British Columbia, Canada.
