As the number of individuals living with HIV grows worldwide, MSF is looking for techniques that will simplify treatment without sacrificing care. By utilizing a single dose antiretroviral drug in many of its HIV projects, MSF is pursuing a "task shifting" approach designed to lessen the human resource burden and to decentralize treatment, bringing it closer to patients.
