Jose Manuel Barroso, President of the European Commission, on Friday delivered the closing speech of Green Week, an event organized this week in Brussels by the EU to discuss climate change and what to do about it. The conference also looked ahead to the international Climate Conference in Copenhagen at the end of the year, where a successor to the Kyoto Protocol has to be agreed.
