It took me a long time to make this because a lot of what aesop writes is very obscure, so it was very difficult to find stock images or footage to convey his lyrics. Obviously what he says is metaphorical, and i chose to do literal images of what he says instead of what i think he means because, like art, his stuff is really open to interpretation. I did the literal images more-so as in aid to actually listen to the lyrics, digest, then to think about later. First scene: Obvious choice, The Prophecy, this is a scene of an angel falling. At 19 seconds, Thats an image of "Last conversation piece," found here: http://elkeandsteve.typepad.com/photos/washington_dc/img_0105.html Then in the next scene i meshed that with a painting of "Public Spectacle," from http://www.the-colosseum.net/around/Edmonson%20public%20spectacles.htm At 1:09, thats an image from the movie "The Fountain," and obviously i photoshopped various saints around that. At 1:21, it took me a long time because i couldn't find a fire escape balcony looking outward to a ghost town, so i had to photoshop that fire escape over a ghosttown market place. At 2:31 i chose to use There Will Be Blood because Daniel Plainview was an alcoholic who ripped off Eli. At 2:37 i chose to use I Saw the Devil because the entire movie was a self crafted catastrophe on both the protagonist and antagonist seeking out vengeance. The Biting my lip is obvious why i chose that certain scene to portray that lyric. @3:22 obviously he's not talking about literal cats, but i just happened to find a cat under icicles so i chose to go with it. at 4:03 Thats Derren Browns show Something Wicked a this way comes so it was a nice coincidence that he was walking through glass and that was the name of his show.
