RAIL MOTOR - The Cutest Thing On Rails and Token Exchange Too !!!

This is a video of a rare train found in India, actually it is not even a train. It is classified as a "rail motor" (or "rail bus" by some). It is just a single powered light coach, that operates by itself, it actually looks a little like a bus, which runs on tracks! This one is a narrow gauge one operated on the Kalka - Shimla Railway line. It operates one service a day in each direction. So when I had gone for a vacation to the region, I took the opportunity to capture this cute thing. I was staying near Kandaghat Railway Station, which is one of the middle stations on the route. I had to get up at 06:30 in the morning and take a local bus to reach the station, but the effort was worth it. I got a nice video of the Kalka Shimla Rail Motor skipping Kandaghat station on its way to Shimla. You can also see the locopilot and station khalasi do the legendary token exchange, which is a iconic sight in some single line sections of India. Hope you enjoy! Date of video: 18th September, 2018
