The pharmaceutical industry leaves little to chance when it comes to marketing. The drug lobby sends out some 16,000 sales reps to doctors' practices every year. The estimated 25 million visits carry a price tag 2.5 billion euros. The companies hope the campaigning will encourage the doctors to prescribe their products, but many doctors insist they are immune to big pharma's influence.
