Automated Halloween Project
Students put together a Halloween prop that senses when someone walks through the classroom door with a reflective beam switch. This sends an input signal to a TECO PLR (Programmable Relay)
The PLR was wired to a motor in the ceiling along with a voice box and a strobe light. 24VDC power and control. The motor runs in one direction to drop the spider down and right back up again. It stops when the prop hits a limit switch. Then, on the next cycle, the motor runs in the opposite direction. The strobe flashes and the scream box releases a scary sound. It has been a great time.
