This was a talk about Why the younger sons of Guru Gobind Singh ji, Dhan Baba Zorawer Singh ji (8 years old) and Dhan Baba Fateh Singh ji (6 years old)  were so brave as to give up their lives but not give up their Sikhi. 
The talk was delivered at the Annual seminar at Gurdwara Nanaksar in Southampton. The sangat was very mixed, from children only 6 years old up to grandparents, so please forgive if sometimes the tone changes!

"Basics of Sikhi" is an educational initiative by Everythings 13, a registered charity in the UK (www.everythings13.org). After much soul-searching and guidance by Gurbani, we feel that by making 2013 into a trial year, where we hire educators on a full-time basis to run projects such as the WhyGuru Course and get them established across the UK. Our inspiration is the 29th Pauri of Japji Sahib where Guru Nanak states that "Spiritual Wisdom is my food, what sustains me, and compassion is the distributor of this wisdom". We feel that Guru's wisdom is the 'Langar for the Soul' and we should be doing much more to share it with both the Sikh community and others.
