On February 4, 2011, CSIS?s Dan Runde guided a discussion with panelists Dr. Alex Dehgan of USAID, Dr. John McArthur of Millennium Promise, and Dr. Sasha Kramer of SOIL on innovation and the Millennium Development Goals. The panelists presented public, private, and systemic ways to spur development through innovation, including * how to take development interventions to scale; * using prize authority at USAID to stimulate problem solving; and * how to foster cross-disciplinary cooperation to manage complexity. The event was part of Our Global Challenges, a discussion series held at CSIS in partnership with the University of Miami?s Knight Center for International Media.
