Yes, it's been a while since I've done any updates to Cxbx. Anyone who actually has a life will understand why.

Unlike the last video, the bugs were so heavy, we couldn't see any 3D gfx without going into wireframe and point rendering mode. Why was that? It's because the bugs in Panzer and some other games are less severe when a Cxbx Release (not Debug) build is used. This video will actually have some 3D viewable, but not for too long as the overlapping quad will randomly appear and disappear. It's annoying, but me and our newest dev, defiance, did make some slight progress with this game's status.

To get more technical, this game makes use of push buffers which are a feature of NVIDIA GPUs and is only exposed in Direct3D for Xbox. Pushbuffers are more difficult to emulate and can contain some unpredictable things. In fact, this requires a bit of low level emulation to emulate properly. I still have alot to learn about pushbuffers myself, but it's a feat that Caustik made the progress that he did already on it. Panzer also suffers from a bug that is also present in Turok evolution. Ever notice when flying the pterodactyl you'll see a repeat image of it that when rendered, allows you to see through stuff? That's also a problem here. I don't know what it is, but it looks stencil buffer related. Also, there is no REAL pixel shader support (most vertex shaders work okay) so pixel shaders are just defaulted to a basic passthrough shader, hence the lack of lighting.

Sorry it's been so long, just thought I'd update everyone with this.
