You know how lots of times you can look at your friends or the people around you and clearly see a way / what they should do to improve their life? It's SOO obvious to you. The benefit of having "mentors" is that they have the age and experience to have those "eagle eyes", observe your life, and see your blindspots. We all have them. Sometimes it takes a person we really look up to to see your own blindspots and help guide you to a better life. Also, be careful with who you choose as a mentor. Make sure they are a person of utmost-character and that you trust them completely. Also make sure that they don't just enjoy the power and respect they have over you. Don't blindly listen to anyone.
