Snow Patrol - How To Be Dead - Oakland, Live, Friday 10-16-09, The Fox Theater, HD. Quite unusual to see a singer of a Britpop band to be that cheerful when performing.. Rather funny sight to see, actually..

Despite what Gary Lightbody said, there weren't a whole lot of smokers in the audience. He also took a long time out in the middle of the song to try to get the crowd to properly sing along to 'Shut Your Eyes'.

Early in the concert, somebody threw a glowstick at Lightbody, and it hit him right in the groin. Gary then mentioned that they were once at a concert and a similar incident occurred, and he responded by just telling the crowd to 'give it your best shot'. The crowd then responded by hurling everything at the band, from glowsticks to shoes, and it looked like the final scene in the movie '300', where the huge volley of arrows darkened the sky. However, he said that none of them hit him, and instead hit the band, and that the band wasn't too happy about them. He ended by saying: "So thanks for just hitting me in the *groin*!"

Plain White T's opened for the band.

The opening video before the 1st song read "Snow Patrol loves Oakland".
