This was one of the songs that really grabbed me in my early teens. It was so different from the rest of the pap on the radio. The moody guitar, the crack of the drums. And the voice. That sassy adlib to the fade out. Brilliant. I had a second hand copy of "Free Live" which got played to scratchy heaven and back. What I would have given to have had a voice like Paul Rodgers. The song would follow me, thanks to Gary Moore's 1982 cover. I was in the band "Knight" in South Wales in the early to mid eighties and we covered this in our gigs, along with other Gary Moore tracks "Nuclear Attack" and an occasional "Parisienne Walkways" - well, PW got done once that I remember. Great times. Quite pleased with the production on this one, which for some reason didn't translate to the usual mp4 conversion. Let's see what Youtube does with the .mov upload.
