Lots of Floridians are looks for handmade Christmas cards with a beach theme so today I've got a quick and easy tropical Santa card to share. Tropical Santa cards are quite popular here in Florida. After all, we don't have snow so we relish in putting our Santa's in beautiful sandy scenes surrounded by mounds of sea shells and tropical foliage. So fun to make unique Christmas cards! I used the So Santa stamp set (Holiday Catalog page 23) for today's tropical Santa card. And it's super easy to create using circle punches and the Tropical Escape Designer Paper. The Tropical Escape designer paper is perfect for this tropical Santa card since there is an abundance of varied leaves and floral images. This designer paper is sold in a stack of 48 sheets 6" x 6" that boast 4 each of 12 double-sided designs. It's safe to say this designer paper can be easily used all year long. Get a good close up of the designer paper in the video following these pictures where I'll show you each of the designs. Do I have you wondering how to make Christmas cards like a true Floridian or Islander?! I stamped my tropical Santa using Memento ink and colored him in using Stampin' Write Markers. I coordinated the colors from those in the designer paper using Shaded Spruce, Mango Melody, Granny Apple Green, Crumb Cake and Petal Pink for the flesh tone. It's impossible to pick up the shimmer in photographs but I've covered my tropical Santa's beard, mustache and hair tufts in Wink of Stella.
