***WARNING THERE WILL BE SPOILERS FOR THE GAMES AND THE GROUPS WITHIN THE GAME***
Real talk: The history nerd in me loves this game XD THERES SO MANY HISTORICAL REFERENCES AND STATUES AND STUFF LIKE THAT I LOVE IT!!!! LIKE THERE ARE HISTORICAL PAINTINGS EVERYWHERE AND LIKE YOU HAVE ALL THESE REFERENCES TO HISTORICAL MOVEMENTS LIKE "THE MINUTEMEN"(which in history they were a militia group fighting in the Revolution and they would come and help people who were being oppressed by the british. and in the game they are like LETS GO HELP THE FARMERS WHO ARE BEING ATTACKED BY RAIDERS AND GUNNERS) AND "THE UNDERGROUND RAILROAD" (which in history was a way to free slaves and bring them to the north where slavery was illegal. and in here you are saving Synths which are like these human robots that are like taking people in the Commonwealth (I wont go into why because that's a big end of the game thing))

Any way so about Rosie: she is my canon Fallout 4 playthough ( i have about 4 or 5 different playthroughs). For the most part her story with her husband stays true to what the present in the beginning of Fallout 4. They lived a happy life with their new child. She was a lawyer and Nate was a military officer. When the bombs hit they (obviously) got into vault 111. Rosie's baby was taken by the institute and her husand was shot. When she got out she looked frantically for life within the vaults, only to find radroachs. Before leaving her husband, she grabbed his wedding ring which was, in her eyes, all she had left of him. When she got out she met up with Codsworth and he explained everything that had happened, which was when she recieved the "Hi, Honey" Holotape. Throughout her time out of Vault 111 she managed to get some tag-a-longs which were: Dogmeat(who also has a little buddy i bought off of someone in the Commonwealth :3) Preston Garvey Piper, Nick Valintine, John Hancock(WHICH HOLY SHIT HIS STORY FUCKING KILLS ME), Paladine Danse, Strong, Cait, Carrie, Deacon, and MacCready. All of which banded together to help Rosie get her baby back. Rosie is for the most part laid back. She doesn't let things get to her and is normally the level head in most situation. She tends to try to solve things with words rather than actions, but will take action when she needs to. The only time any companion saw her get really angry was Nick when Rosie had confronted Kellogg about where her baby was. She lost her temper with him and killed him (which you have to do either way but difference being she initiated it rather than him).
Rosie has done all of the companion side quests, so everyone is basically loyal to her. The only time she does something a companion might not like is when she does Jet (infact I think Hancock (and MacCready maybe i dont fully remember) is the only one who is okay with it). For the most part she only does Jet when she is alone or with Hancock. She tries to keep it away from Cait so that Cait isn't tempted. She also got Momma Murphy to stop taking drugs as well. She's a bit of a hypocrite in that respect.
She is a part of The Minutemen and The Railroad.
*MAJOR SPOILER AREA*
Okay so for the whole institute mission here's how it went down: She took on the Pridwin with The Railroad (which I had to do that mission twice cause the first time I brought Hancock and he fucking died on me like I could loot his body and shit) and then took on the institute with them as well. Intially getting to the institute with the Minutemen though (aka sturges was like "get this thing" and I was like "ok"). Which is when Rosie met Father, who she almost attacked to find out where Shaun was (kick in the ass right? Literally though I almost shot him..). Once finding out the truth, she did everything that she could to try to get close to Father, but they disagreed on one thing and that was the treatment of Synths. Due to the fact that one of her closest friends is a Synth, she thought that they should be treated as human beings and not tools, which Father disagreed with. She couldn't believe what her baby had become and went to the Railroad for help. More than willing, The Railroad helped her take down The Institute, freeing hundreds of Synths in the process. Before the invasion, she gave Hancock her husband's wedding ring, incase she didn't make it out. When she met with Father on his deathbed, he helped her free the rest of the people who were inside. She took home Synth Shaun when he confronted her.
