When Navy Veteran Michael Hyacinthe saw the restorative and healing power that comes from the creative process, he knew it could help wounded veterans.  Michael created Fashion has Heart as a way to allow wounded veterans access to the creative process.  His powerful story and the stories of the veterans he is helping call us to remember the sacrifices of our veterans and to do more to help and support them. 
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
