Initiatives head of Sree Niketan School, Thiruvallur. Though a job from Silicon Valley came her way, she turned down the offer and chose to work for her husbands school in Thiruvallur for the sake of her passion for Lecturing. While speaking about the education system she stressed upon the point that computer science should be taught at schools right from lower classes which will enable the students to have a strong foundation in logical thinking and reasoning. She also shared a few novel methods of making students to grasp concepts easily. Some of them were teaching from real life experiences, updating the knowledge of students based on the simple things which they are already familiar with and so on. One of the interesting examples which was the way she explained stack operation in a computer by using a bread loaf. About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
