Part 26Four years later, Metroid would hit the DS with Metroid Prime Hunters taking place between Prime 1 and Prime 2: Echoes. The story this time around focuses on Samus traveling to the Alimbic system after the Galactic Federation received a telepathic message referring to an ultimate power. Six other bounty hunters got the message and it's now a race against time as Samus must find the eight Octoliths and travel to the Infinity Void and neutralize the threat behind it. During her travels, Samus encounters six different bounty hunters each with their own unique abilities; such as the sniping Trace, the surviving Diamont named Spire and the Space Pirate bounty hunter Weavel. Eventually, Samus encountered and defeated Gorea, the beast that originated the telepathic message by using the Omega Cannon which turned out to be the ultimate weapon.
