The Glashutte Original Senator Chronometer Regulator is a 42mm 18k white gold timepiece. In 2009, Glashutte Original released the original Senator Chronometer, in 2013 this Chronometer Regulator was released separating the seconds, minutes and hours to separate dials for easy reading.  The watch is quite manageable at 12mm thick, sitting flat and broad on the wrist. From lug to lug the watch is 48.5mm.  

The lugs downturn sharply as the exit the flank of the case. The strap and the clasp are wonderfully substantial with a thick leather with light bolstering. The single swing arm deployant clasp features a combination of matte and polished finish.  

The watch features a combination of case finishes of satin and high polish. This makes fora beautiful and subtle contrast. The watch shows respect for tradition yes is avant garde. The dial itself is a beautiful matte lacquer with a frosted grain texture. 

Each of the sub registers has been countersunk to give depth to the dial. There are traditional Arabic numerals and Roman numerals. There is a grand, panoramic date and fascinating hacking seconds system. This centers the seconds hand and stops the balance. This synchronizes the minute hand to the nearest full minute as well. There is a subtle am/pm indicator on the dial as well to easily show off the time of day. 

The manufacture caliber 58-4and is visible through the case back. It is manually winding with a 44 hour power reserve. There is a pocket watch style 3/4 bridge and everything is hand engraved.
