43 Members From The Telugu States Summit Mt.Kilimanjaro!

 

          A 43 member team comprising of both men and women from the Telugu States of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have successfully made it to the top of Mt.Kilimanjaro, the tallest peak in the African Continent standing at 5895m. This feat was achieved on Friday, the 14th of September, 2018.

          The expedition was organized by a Hyderabad based company Transcend Adventures, and the team was led by Raghunath Reddy. Transcend Adventures is the same company who has put Poorna Malavath, on the top of Mt. Everest in 2014, making her the youngest girl to do so. Apart from Poorna, the company has put about 69 people on the summit of Mt. Everest which includes a lot of eminent personalities such as Ajeeth and Deeya Bajaj, the first father-daughter duo from India to make it to the summit of Mt.Everest. Suhail Sharma, the first IPS officer to reach the summit from the North Side, Mr. Prabhakaran, the first person from the IFS, Mrs. Radhika G.R. from the Telangana Police Department and many others.  Trancend Adventures is the only company in India who is authorized and has the experience to conduct such high level mountaineering expeditions abroad.

          The training was provided by Mr. Parmesh Kumar, a senior mountaineer from Hyderabad, his experience and professional approach has made us to reach the summit of various peaks in the world.

Raghunath Reddy, A certified international guide, an avid mountaineer and adventure lover has led the team of these 43 climbers coming from different walks of like: students, Youth, employees, etc. Incidentally, for Raghunath it was the 4th time to reach the summit of Mt.Kilimanjaro. He made sure all of the team members were in the right spirit throughout the expedition and it was proved when all the 40 members reached the summit.  

          For Transcend Adventures, it was a different record of sorts; wherein since the August of 2017, the company has put 102 climbers on top of Mt.Kilimanjaro, without any incidents, giving the company a 100% safety record in a year. Among these 102 climbers, a number of students participated from the welfare organizations of the state of Telangana.  These organizations include Telangana Tribal Welfare Residential School, Telangana Minorities Residential Educational Institutions Society and Youth Welfare Department. “The company takes safety of the clients as a first priority. We do not take any decision that may directly or indirectly affect the safety of the client. Right from the days of the training in preparation for a climb, to point on the mountain where often the weather plays a crucial role in determining whether the climber reaches the summit; we make sure only the right decisions are taken.” says Raghunath.
