Wednesday morning at 8 a.m. Charles Kitchen will be watching traffic flow on North Merrimon Avenue.There's going to be a lot of it, there could even be wrecks, said Kitchen. For months he's watched as the new Harris Teeter grocery was going up. Even with a new middle turn lane and the light at the top of the grocery's entrance Kitchen still feels there will be gridlock.I think they should have police out here. No one knows about this light, said Kitchen.But others think the increased traffic will be fine.I'm very happy about the addition, said Jacob Cohen, who lives a few blocks from the new Merrimon store. Both the Harris Teeter and Trader Joe's just increases the choices people have in the community.I don't know much Merrimon can get much worse, said Zach Bowden who's applying for a position at Trader Joe's.
