Higher Love or "Agape" is more about the overflowing of love which is purely spontaneous, unmotivated, groundless, and creative. The Love of God operates in the human sphere, the human heart. This is the unconditional love Maharaj-ji spread around. Maharaj-ji gives you love just because. Can you accept it? When you accept that love, then you can give that love all the time.
