Coffee with a Curator is a focused, theme-oriented presentation on a variety of Dalí-related topics. The talk is presented by one of the Dalí Museum’s Curatorial/Education team or an invited speaker. 

For this talk, Peter Tush, Dalí Curator of Education, will explore Group f/64, the San Francisco-based photography group who paved the way for Clyde Butcher’s approach to landscape photography. Group f/64 included some of the most important 20th century American landscape photographers, including Ansel Adams, Imogen Cunningham, and Edward Weston, and developed an aesthetic of recognizing the beauty of patterns in nature. This talk will focus on the origins of the group, the key moments in the individual photographers’ careers, and show how Butcher continues their mission to promote the artistry of photography.
