Koi Pond in Winter 2011

Our Koi and Comets in "hibernation" in January 2011. The pond has been through one major snow storm and has been frozen for about a month. The fish although lethargic do react to the camera. They are used to me and the camera being around so I do not anticipate any additional stress from my most chillaxed of fishes. Sure is a beautiful place to catch a 4 month cat nap.... did I say cat? Just stay under the ice friends. Notice the Koi huddled up together, buried while the Comets slowly float as a school near the surface ice. I also dig how everything is suspended, even small particles in the water. It is almost like time stands still for these fish.
