I'm pretty sure I cheesed this puzzle because you're not supposed to get damaged twice with the lit bomb at the bottom. The cheese took me quite awhile to execute since it involves wall clipping to get damaged. You have just enough time for your invincibility frames to wear off before getting damaged again with the bomb explosion. As for the obscure tech in this puzzle, I figured out you can make a sideways spring fall through solid ground by clipping it into a launcher. This is how you gain flight at the bottom fo the level.
