Street Tactics Deployed in Mexico to Combat HIV

Last year, 2.7 million people were newly infected with HIV, the virus that causes AIDS. While the epidemic is worldwide, in some countries of Sub-Saharan Africa the disease has spread to more than a quarter of the population. In Mexico, the situation is considerably better with just three-tenths of one percent of the population, or 180,000 people, living with HIV. About 23 percent of those infected are women. VOA's Rosanne Skirble reports from Mexico City on how one non-profit group is taking to the streets with the message that HIV is entirely preventable.
