North Tower Exploding by David Chandler - Chinese

"The starting point of science is observation." This particular video of the northwest corner of the North Tower (WTC1) is very rich in the amount of detail it shows. The video is cycled in an "infinite loop" while the narration leads the viewer through a series of observations. We see material forcefully ejected from many levels simultaneously. We see heavy building components thrown horizontally at high speed, trailing clouds of debris. We see beams and girders falling while trailing white smoke emitted along their entire length. We do not see a "pile driver" crushing the building; the ongoing destruction extends to the very top of the building. We see everything except the steel reduced to fine powder. Most of David Chandler's videos involve measurement and analysis, but this early exercise in pure observation puts the analysis into context.
