I'm off to explore this new land.  I also encounter and kill one of the despised endermen.  It wasn't that tough and I hope to kill hundreds of them.


Meanwhile if you know of or create a mod that removes that "void fog" or limits the endermen to only moving dirt, sand gravel & clay  (or just stop them from moving blocks entirely!!) then please contact me with the details asap!


The two biggest problems in 1.8 (and now 1.8.1) is the "void fog" at low map levels that makes everything all dark no matter how many torches you have in place.

Then there is the endermen.  They are *STILL* moving player placed blocks, destroying player made structures and generally being full fledged "Griefer Mobs".

If others want to leave these things the way they are then that's their choice.  *I* want to turn them off in MY worlds.

I know that Notch has said that he only wants things in the game that are "Fun" but honestly, how either of these thing is "Fun" I will never understand because I don't think that they are even the least bit "Fun" in any respect.

Let there be endermen but stop them from moving player placed blocks and griefing my buildings and for the love of God get rid of that damnable "void fog"!!!!
