Government, Opposition locked 50/50 2PP in Newspoll

Labor MPs say the latest Newspoll suggests Opposition Leader Tony Abbott has run out of puff. Labor's primary vote has lifted three points to 36 per cent while the coalition's support has dropped four points to 41 per cent in the poll published by The Australian on Monday. On a two-party-preferred basis, the government and opposition are locked at 50-50.
