Direct Edit in your favorite CAD software can be a lifesaver. About every CAD system has this function, and it is great when you have to make a quick design change. Maybe move a feature, some holes or faces, and the best thing is that it leaves a history in your design tree. It is almost like data management, ok maybe not, but is is stinking cool!
