In 2013 the Global Food Outlook program is hosting a series of virtual exchanges -- online conversations with experts in industry and civil society about our increasingly complex, connected global food web. This year's research focuses on technologies reshaping the future of food and the virtual exchanges complement that work with the voices of those who are working to make the future of food. The first exchange focused on food safety. GFO Co-Director Miriam Lueck Avery led a discussion of emerging issues and possibilities featuring two food scientists, Tejas Bhatt and Lesley Chesson. Participants from around the globe joined in and were able to submit questions to the panelists. For more information visit http://www.iftf.org/iftf-you/programs/global-food-outlook/
