--Overall Comments--

And we're back!  In the season 8 mid-season premiere, the entire Mane 6 are called by the map for a friendship mission to a far off land.   With the entire group of teachers gone, Twilight leaves Starlight in charge of the school while they are away.  A mischievous and left out Discord isn't going to make it easy on her, though!

Being a Discord episode, we hear his motifs throughout the episode.  Other characters such as Iron Will also make appearances in the episode, bringing his electric guitar theme from season 2 back with him.  Some new fun and crazy harpsichord score also appears later in the episode during the "haunted" school sequence.

Also, on a technical note, this is the first episode in a long while to be release with some audio issues.  The center channel vocals are also present in the front right channel, which caused some issues with reverb reduction in the right channel.  Thankfully, this was only present in this episode and not episode 15.

--Track Specific Comments--

After being scolded by Starlight, Discord leaves in the most literal sense of the word.  The frantic cue from the previous track starts us off, before drifting to Discord's mischievous leitmotif, which has been with him since all the way back in his first appearance in the Season 2 premiere.
