Williamson: 'Tempest fighter jet investment is for future of Britain'

The Defence Secretary unveiled a £2billion plan for a British-made stealth plane today. Gavin Williamson said the 'Tempest' concept aircraft was designed to be able either with a pilot or as a drone. The vision for the state of the art jet comes after Britain was excluded from a French-German project for a new fighter plane. Any new aircraft is unlikely to fly before 2035, even if it gets off the drawing board at all.
