It's the battle test again. This time with dear old 252. I've grown fond of him.

I'm curious about this pokemon since it's the only other glitch pokemon you can select other than Glitch Egg. But Glitch Egg serves a purpose an an incubating egg in your team roster. This pokemon is one slot above that one. I might be overthinking it, but why is it there? Was it doing something like storing opponent levels? When you use it as an opponent every action you take causes its level to scroll on the battle text box. I can't find any info saying 252 has this function in the final. Of course I may be overthinking it and 252 might be just pulling level data due to its values. It's just a theory.

According to Bulbapedia, 252 is a Psychic type and its hex identifier is FC. It can evolve from a glitch pokemon with a hex identifier of 00 and then evolve into Ivysaur then Venusaur. Of course I have no idea if that works the same here. The sprite is different too. But that's because much of the graphics were different at this point in development.

252 cannot be used on your roster. If you try to select a level for it the game will freeze and you'll have to reset. But you can battle against it. If you try to use Glitch Egg against 252 the game will also freeze.

A curious thing happens when you attempt to select multiple 252's on the battle test menu. After selecting two of them slots 5 & 6 will become invisible. But they are still usable and function normally. It won't affect the battle because you didn't choose a level and pokemon can't show up at level 0.
