After being inspired by a coral restoration trip to Fiji, Sarah Kirsh speaks about the ways in which humanity and global warming are currently harming the oceans. These issues range from coral bleaching to the melting of the polar ice caps. To end, she discusses the impact of these problems on everyone and simple adjustments people can make in their daily life to help. Sarah has always been passionate about marine biology and how humans shape the environment. TEDx provided her with the chance to research further into a topic that will inspire her throughout her life to give back to the planet in any way possible. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
