We live in a very interconnected world where public health problems often challenge the tourism industry. That’s according to Executive Director of CARPHA, Dr. James Hospedales. Speaking at the Second Annual Regional Tourism and Health Stakeholders Workshop, he highlighted the need for a more inclusive programme. Minister of Health, Terrence Deyalsingh, said with the influx of tourists, both domestic and international, it is imperative that citizens get the flu vaccines. He said the Caribbean is branded as a tourism destination, and it's the responsibility of policy makers to monitor and protect the health of its population and visitors.
