'Seattle In A Minute' is a video mix of some shots that I took while in Seattle, WA with my $79 camera. I started my walk from downtown at the Public Market but got out of there quick as it is a tourist trap, get in get out. Parking downtown is a joke so take the bus or walk. I recorded a little music from a street band in front of Starbucks to put under the video. The Olympic Sculpture Park is a delightful walk, just down from the Public Market. Lots of large art pieces, the video show only a few of them. The rainbow colored plastic items are trash that the artist put together to create art, how cool is that. The large metal walls look like they where a ship at some point. I love the Eraser, it is just stuck out there and I like how it looks like it is motion. Lots of circles in Seattle, I see a lot of them as I watch this video. The Man / Son artwork has been call the Man / Boy and some sick idiot thinks that it some kind of pedophilia statue. Twisted how folks can look at something wonderful and make it twisted, kind of like some religious folks, i.e. Fred Phelps. I took the bus up the hill to Broadway and walked up to Volunteer Park. There are lots of things to do at the park. At the top of the water tower you get some great views and if you can wait a few minutes you can get it all to yourself. I did not count the steps to the top of the water tower but there are a lot. I did not get to go into the Asian Museum; I'll do it next time. The Conservatory is hot and steamy but with lots of cool plants. I just put a buck into the moneybox, I think they want more but it's better than nothing. The Dahlia Garden is seasonal, of course, but I lucked out and saw the huge variety of them. The Lake View Cementry is right next to Vollenteer Park and while the grave site for Bruce and Brandon is busy if you can hang out you can get a few moments of quite time to reflect. There are lots of cool headstones there also so give the cemetery an hour at least. Continue up and over the hill to the Washington Park Arboretum. I did this walk in about 4 hours not including stops at some coffee places and a couple of beers on the way home. CHEERS
