It's high tide, nearly. The water is almost lapping our ankles (you can hear it) and we are hoping the train comes before we have to evacuate the position! It does. A plume of steam a mile away, and in no time it's racing by - slowing down for the short tunnel (35mph) as it passes. Lovely long pan and even a bit of sunshine. We retire, dry-shod, and leave the tide to do its worst!
