United Nations, 11 May 2009 - UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon participated in a Ministerial meeting of the Security Council on the situation in the Middle East, including the Palestinian question. H.E. Mr. Sergey Lavrov, Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation chaired the meeting. The Secretary-General of the United Nations, said the Council was meeting at the outset of a very important few weeks for peace in the Middle East.
