While the chemical weapon attack on a Damascus suburb in August took the horror of what is happening in Syria to a new level, recent diplomatic negotiations barely touched on the issue of aid for the Syrian people. A Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) project coordinator working in Syria and the president of the French section of MSF wrote an open letter entitled "Lift the Humanitarian Blockade" which was published in French newspaper Le Monde in September.
