Manchester United legend Sir Bobby Charlton and his wife Lady Norma recently visited Waterhead Academy in Oldham to launch an official partnership with Manchester United Foundation.
Waterhead is one of twenty partner schools to benefit from such a partnership through the Foundation’s partner school programme, which bases full-time coaches in schools to work with pupils, local primary schools and within the community to build lasting relationships and reputations. Manchester United Foundation uses the power of football to engage and inspire young people to build a better life for themselves and unite the communities in which they live. Dedicated staff deliver educational and community outreach programmes to help young people make positive choices in their lives.
