Youtube Rewind 2018 recently came out and my goodness, it received a lot of hate since a lot of the trends people actually wanted in youtube rewind were not included and a lot of the youtubers people wanted in #youtuberewind were not included either and also it starred will smith whos a Hollywood actor not really a youtuber even though will smith does have a youtube channel. Other people such as lele pons were invited to youtube rewind since they family friendly and not controversial in youtubes eyes which is good for marketing to people who want to invest in ads which is youtube's no.1 source of revenue. And also ninja was in youtube rewind + marshmello + markiplier and bts songs but not bts themselves which gave youtube a lot of backlash from bts fans since youtube deleted views from some btw music videos. The youtube rewind also included baby shark + fortnite. And yeah many people didnt like Youtube rewind, if you look at the like to dislike ratio
