I keep seeing all these tournaments, and I felt all inspired to do something like one (especially since lots of people requested one for my 2,000 subscribers mark), but then I remembered I'd started two before, and....I've never finished. Because I fail. I also don't like joining competitions (I've only ever joined one, hahhh) because I know I'm not very good, and I don't handle disappointment well. X'D SO. I was basically trying to think of something to do, because I always get jealous when I see other people's entries that are so amazing, and I sit there like, "Wow, I wish I could be given a prompt and be inspired by a song or idea or something." But I don't want to feel *obligated* to do it, nor do I really like competition and getting eliminated. So here we have: the "Inspiration Challenge." Basically, each week (or biweekly? I'm so open to feedback on this), I'll pick a song or prompt of some sort, and you will have the perfect excuse/inspiration to edit something. There won't be a time limit or a length limit or any kind of limit at all. You don't even have to do it. But if you feel like you need inspiration, you can give it a go! To sum it up, here are the "rules": 1) Anyone can participate. It's not going to be an exclusive group or a really strictly planned thing with a deadline. Just, if the prompt inspires you, make something, and put it as a response to this video. I'm thinking that, the next week, when I upload the next prompt, I'd share some of the best entries. It'll just be a way to share your work. If you want a little friendly competition, we can make it a sort of beta battle, if you want to find a partner or something. FEEDBACK. YEAHHHH! 2) The point is to give inspiration. If you only want to edit like 15-20 seconds of the song, DO IT. I always feel compelled to edit a certain amount to justify uploading, but this will be a good outlet for your editing needs. You can edit something, upload it, and you'll get feedback! If you do this, I promise a coveted long and thorough comment or two on your vid. ;) From me. 3) You can use any version of the song (remixes, covers, the original), and you can use any style or fandom you want. The idea is just to GET YOU MOTIVATEDDDD!!! 4) This week's prompt -- "Brave" by Sara Bareilles. I just chose randomly based on what was on the radio. I'd love some participation from you guys, so if you want to suggest songs to use next week/in the future, I'll take them into account! If more than one person suggests a song, for example, I'll use it. It can be as overused as you want. This challenge is your excuse to vid overused songs. Officially. Even with overused fandoms. DO WHAT YOU WAAANT. So...that's it. :') I have a feeling no one will participate. At least initially. But that's okay. Just let me know if you think this is a good idea, if you want to submit something, or any other thoughts you have. I'd just love feedback from you guys because I wanted to host something fun for you, but I don't feel like I'm qualified to judge competitions. So we'll try something a little different, eh? Also the video I used for this is a collab part to a completely different song (WHIIMSYYYYY WHERE IS OUR COLLAAABBBBB lol). Oops, sneaky, hehe. FEEDBAACKKKKK. Thanks!
